What is DDBrix?
DDBrix is a simulation where you will gradually improve your plant’s performance by accelerating material flow and increasing the relevance of information flow using DDMRP buffers. As part of a lean approach, you will experiment with demand-driven planning and visible, collaborative execution. During this simulation you will:
- Learn the fundamentals of Supply Chain Management and DDMRP while having fun.
- Understand the increased relevance of information flow including forecast-driven supply chain and demand-driven supply chain, with a modification of production order planning and execution.
- Experience the changes DDMRP will bring to your information and material flow management.
- Experience the new organization proposed by DDMRP for planning and prioritizing production orders.
- Discover how DDMRP helps stabilize production and reduce team stress.
- Customize the workshop by integrating your constraints, vocabulary and environment.
Using the DDBrix Manufacturing/Factory kit, participants experiment in teams with the 4 phases of the game. During debriefing sessions led by DDMRP experts, all changes made to planning (what to order) and execution (how to prioritize orders) will be explored in greater depth. You will see the effects of the DDMRP methodology happen before your eyes and leave with a solid foundational knowledge and understanding of DDMRP and how it can be tailored to meet your unique needs.
