There’s a drive on for manufacturers to find new ways to operate in a more sustainable way. From main business operations, right through the entire supply chain. This, plus the small matter of reskilling and retraining staff to help ease pressures created by staff shortages. It’s a difficult time.
Technology is part of the solution. But then again, manufacturers must also find ways of making use of new technology to automate and digitise manual processes. This is key to supporting sustainability efforts and having people deliver operational value. One HSO customer, the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), is using Microsoft technology to find ways to achieve this.
Established in 2010, MTC operates as an independent Research & Technology Organisation (RTO) with the goal of bridging the gap between academia and industry. Working with HSO and Microsoft, MTC is transforming its business to adopt more innovative ways to meet its sustainability ambitions, which in part includes the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
In this short case video, MTC Director, Andrew Barnes, discusses how MTC is approaching Microsoft technology adoption to bring native integration into existing systems and processes, making it easier to adopt and use modern technology across the organisation.
