Non-Profit Success: Community Healthcare Organization Takes Accounting Back In-House
The implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including integrations with eOne SmartConnect, ADP, and banking apps, is carrying this organization into the future

About
A non-profit that works with over 50 community-based healthcare organizations to improve the quality of care for those with serious mental illness, chronic health conditions, and/or substance use disorders, providing access to quality treatment, housing, employment and other needed services.
Challenge
The non-profit initially outsourced its accounting to another company using Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 R2 as a service (SaaS). However, they decided to bring the accounting in-house and update their systems. The organization aimed to meet current requirements, improve integrations, interfaces, consolidations, and reporting/dashboarding/KPIs. They sought a cost-effective solution that could cater to future needs.
Solution
The non-profit determined that Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was the superior choice to meet their current and future needs. They recognized that sticking with Dynamics GP would not be a strategic move as it was already outdated and lacked a viable long-term future. This choice also allowed for integrations with eOne SmartConnect, ADP, and banking applications, providing a comprehensive and efficient system for their accounting needs.
Results
The decision to transition from Microsoft Dynamics GP to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central allowed the organization to upgrade their systems and effectively address their current and future needs. This move provided an upgrade path and ensured that the organization could meet their requirements across the board. Moreover, the migration to Business Central was significantly more cost-effective compared to upgrading Dynamics GP and transitioning to the cloud.
