Supporting the needs of people relying on Public Sector services is not easy because of declining budgets, resources, and skills. But this paints only part of the picture. An internal one.

Outside the control of Public Sector organisations is the changing demographics of their communities. A growing and aging population is changing the demands and types of service needs. And evolving technology also shapes how people interact with those services, and the organisations providing them.

This means that local authorities, such as Kent County Council, must find new and agile ways of delivering services to keep up with the pace of change.

Technology is important for Kent County Council, and I think across the Public Sector, where budgets are always shrinking. We are always trying to deliver more, for the residents that we serve, with less.
