At HSO, we are dedicated to supporting non-profits in advancing their missions through innovative technological solutions. This year, we had the incredible opportunity to participate in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) organized by our client, Society for Science. Often dubbed the "Olympics of Science Fairs," ISEF has been a cornerstone of scientific competition since 1942, bringing together high school students from around the globe to showcase their groundbreaking projects.

About Society for Science

Society for Science is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of science education and research. Founded in 1921, it has a long history of empowering young scientists and fostering a love of science through various competitions, publications, and outreach programs. Society for Science not only organizes ISEF but also publishes Science News and runs several other prestigious science competitions, including the Regeneron Science Talent Search and the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge. Their mission is to expand scientific literacy, effective STEM education, and scientific research.

About the International Science and Engineering Fair

The International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) is the largest science fair in the world, with nearly 2,000 finalists from nearly 70 countries, regions, and territories. These teams represent the best of the best, having triumphed in regional fairs to earn their place as finalists. The event is a testament to the dedication and passion of young scientists and the mentors who guide them.

HSO’s Experience & Key Highlights

After receiving an invitation from Society for Science, HSO's team had the honor of volunteering at ISEF in May 2024. From registering finalists and setting up booths to observing the judging process, we immersed ourselves in the event and gained a deep appreciation for the hard work and enthusiasm of everyone involved.

Final Thoughts

Our experience at ISEF was truly inspiring. It reinforced our commitment to supporting non-profits and the vital role they play in fostering innovation and education. The passion and dedication we witnessed at the fair left a lasting impression on us, and we are proud to have been part of such a significant event.

At HSO, we look forward to continuing our work with non-profits and contributing to the success of events like ISEF with Society for Science. Stay tuned for more updates and stories as we continue to support organizations that make a difference in the world.
